Designing Artifacts that drive adoption

Designed, wrote, and drew a comic book to simplify why the D.O.D needed to modernize their data-keeping practices. Delivery of this artifact resulted in the multi-million dollar contract being renewed.

THE PROBLEM

This project was an additional add to a D.O.D proposal on a data lake describing the value that Accenture could provide to the client.

The comic book describes in a comprehensive way the work already done on the lake as well as the problems within the client's organization. On this project, I helped synthesize the research done into a coherent story. I created keyframes and iteratively improved the story  based on client feedback and was able to successfully deliver a finished product within a condensed timeline.

THE TASK

I proposed that we add an extra artifact to the proposal in the from of a comic book.

Because there was no extra budget I argued that the artifact could:

  • Be re-used within the studio

  • Be used to secure our contract

  • Provide greater clarity into the subject matter
